While I don’t claim to be an expert, I love little glasses of brown liquids. Scotch, Whisk(e)y, Rye, you name it… I was especially delighted when after a Scotch flight I noticed the beautiful bottle of one of my selected favorites, Bruichladdich (pronounced Brook-Laddie). These clean, modern bottles definitely stand out amongst its Scotch and Whisky compatriots.
My favorite design of theirs, the 2001 Resurrection Dram, is the inaugural single malt of the newest reincarnation of the distillery. Founded in 1881 and closed in 1994, the distillery was bought and reopened in 2001. Known for their smokey, heavily peated flavors Islay (eye-luh) whiskies are the perfect toast on a cold winter night. They’re also the perfect gift for your favorite blogger.
Bruichladdich is available online at various retailers, including Liquor Outlet Wine Cellars for the best price I’ve found (2001 Resurrection Dram for $65.95)
